A few first favorites from tonight’s wedding, my first of many at Texas Old Town Redbud Hall in Kyle! I am assisting at two weddings there tomorrow! Since I moved down the street from Texas Old Town and started attending many parties held there, I have been excited to start shooting weddings there. Branson’s mother Donna Musselman is an event planner and took advantage of my promotion to shoot local Kyle, Buda, and San Marcos venues that I’d like to spend more time at. If you’re interested in booking one of my local venues, please do! There are still a few locations left like Thistlewood Manor, Winfield Inn, and more.
They had one of the sweetest first touch moments I’ve ever seen with such a reluctant pull away. But never fear, because you get to walk down the aisle next! This wedding was so simple yet chic and classy that I’m so excited to edit the rest of the bunch.
Kristen and Chris were married at the gorgeous Casablanca on Brushy Creek in Round Rock on a warm February day. My last wedding before maternity leave was the perfect combination of casual elegance. The harp and viola music, the dignified Tex-Mex catering, the creek at sunset, and the variety of huge, open indoor spaces together with a beautiful couple and their friends created a timeless princess story.
I always get a kick out of seeing the photos we created for engagement and bridal shoots on display at the reception, on their blogs, or Facebook profile photos, and they had decorated many of the tabletops with vignettes of our sessions together. It’s always an honor being involved with a couple creating their first family heirloom from such a treasured part of their lives, helping remove the stress and capture the feeling of romantic fun and closeness around their wedding day. Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer…and engagement photographer…AND bridal photographer! It was an honor getting to know you better as you set off on this new journey together.
Cosima & Jonathan were married in Germany several months ago, and had an American ceremony at Vintage Villas in Lakeway, Texas to celebrate their multi-cultural families in classic style. The event was simple and elegant with beautiful friends and family. The couple was so easy going and likable with great senses of humor, and as they relaxed into the evening it was fun to watch their tender moments with each other and family as they said good-bye before a move to Florida. Thank you for having me there, it was such a fun wedding!
Kristen and Chris, the only thing cuter than their names are themselves! Gorgeous couple with stunning blue eyes, and she is just flawless, making great engagement photography so easy. What a great session at Mayfield Park and Mt. Bonnell in central Austin with perfect sweet spot golden light. The only other guests at the park that night were photographers trying not to get in each others’ way. Seems we all knew the weather had cooled down and that the sun was in a good mood that day. Kris and Chris were a tender, fun couple with great attitudes and good conversation. They’ve chosen the impressive yet quaint Casablanca on Brushy Creek as the venue for their February wedding. I love February weddings because my own anniversary is that month, back in 1997. Photographing weddings always make me melt in appreciation for my own marriage. I am looking forward to getting to know them better to make their wedding photos really make a statement about who they are!
