Sara and Edwin are getting married this summer with a reception at Texas Old Town in Kyle. They spent a lot of time dating around Texas State University Campus, and the San Marcos City Park is especially dear to them. It has great photo opportunities for a natural outdoor look. Their excitement was infectious as they had only become engaged just days before. Congratulations to you both!
Sparks flew when Kristen arrived for her bridal at the Texas State Capitol in downtown Austin! A beautiful bride, we had some fun adventures trying to change into her gown in the foyer bathroom, braving the February freeze for outdoor shots, then going back in through the security line still in a bridal gown! Of course, she got priority treatment while her mom and I had to actually wait in line, even though I was 8 months pregnant. However, we got to wear jackets and sweaters outside, so she deserved some special treatment for braving the biting wind chill in a strapless bodice with such grace and good spirits, especially with the last minute change of venue from Zilker Botanical Gardens to the Capitol. Indoors ruled the day, but as the sun dipped into that gorgeous evening light, we decided to sacrifice a little comfort (okay, for her it was a LOT of comfort!) for such a beautiful location. Congratulations, and I’m excited to be at your upcoming wedding later this month!
Cosima & Jonathan were married in Germany several months ago, and had an American ceremony at Vintage Villas in Lakeway, Texas to celebrate their multi-cultural families in classic style. The event was simple and elegant with beautiful friends and family. The couple was so easy going and likable with great senses of humor, and as they relaxed into the evening it was fun to watch their tender moments with each other and family as they said good-bye before a move to Florida. Thank you for having me there, it was such a fun wedding!
Kristen and Chris, the only thing cuter than their names are themselves! Gorgeous couple with stunning blue eyes, and she is just flawless, making great engagement photography so easy. What a great session at Mayfield Park and Mt. Bonnell in central Austin with perfect sweet spot golden light. The only other guests at the park that night were photographers trying not to get in each others’ way. Seems we all knew the weather had cooled down and that the sun was in a good mood that day. Kris and Chris were a tender, fun couple with great attitudes and good conversation. They’ve chosen the impressive yet quaint Casablanca on Brushy Creek as the venue for their February wedding. I love February weddings because my own anniversary is that month, back in 1997. Photographing weddings always make me melt in appreciation for my own marriage. I am looking forward to getting to know them better to make their wedding photos really make a statement about who they are!
